Company History
There's a lot more to AXA in the UK than you might think. We're part of the AXA Group, a worldwide leader in financial services with over 160,000 employees and 102 million customers. We're here for our customers when they need us – and we help them take care of their families, their property and their businesses. Here in the UK, we have around 13 million customers, that's 1 in 5 of the UK population. And to make sure that we're looking after each and every one of them, we have some 10,500 committed, focused, trusted people across some 35 locations nationwide.
Benefits
Pay and bonus - linked to your performance: The level of your pay and bonus awards is in your hands, and both are linked to your performance and the company's performance. Your pay is reviewed annually and you'll also have the potential to receive a bonus award.
Holiday - 28 days after 5 years plus option to buy/sell: Dependent on your level and length of service, you'll enjoy between 23 and 28 days' holiday each year, plus any Bank Holidays. We also offer you the additional flexibility to buy (up to 5 days) and sell (up to 3 days) holiday.
Pension - generous AXA matching of your contributions: You'll be automatically enrolled into our Defined Contribution (Money Purchase) pension scheme aimed at helping you plan and save for your future, whatever your age. Your contributions are based upon your age and will be between 2% and 6%. AXA’s contributions to your pension are at least more than double your contributions and increase after 5 years’ service. You can therefore expect between 4% and 19%. You can also, if you choose to, make top up payments to enhance your retirement benefits. Alternatively you can choose to exchange part of the employer contribution for cash or another one of our voluntary/flexible benefits.
Lifecover - 10 times your salary: As a member of our pension scheme, you'll automatically receive a death in service benefit of 10 times your salary as a lump sum for your dependants (or four times your salary if you decide not to join the pension scheme). You are also permitted to exchange this lifecover for cash or another one of our voluntary/flexible benefits.
Private Medical Insurance - cover for you and your dependants: You may, depending on your role and its level within AXA, be eligible for Private Medical Insurance or a reduced rate for you and your dependants.
Company car - choose a car based on your lifestyle and budget: Depending on your role and its level, or your need to travel for your job, you could be eligible to join the company car scheme or opt for an annual cash allowance instead. We offer a wide range of vehicles over 36 or 48 months so you can select a vehicle to suit your budget/lifestyle. Also those not eligible for a car can access a company car via our flexible benefits programme. Our Company car scheme won the ‘Best car and travel benefits’ award at the 2013 Employee Benefits Awards.
Season Ticket loans - financial support for your travel to/from work: From the moment you start, we offer an interest free loan scheme to help you buy season tickets for travel.
My Benefits@AXA - your benefits in your hands: My Benefits @AXA is our flexible benefits system. It gives you the chance to choose the benefits which best suit your situation. Here are some examples of what you are able to pick from:
Holiday Flex. You can elect to buy additional holiday (5 days) or sell holiday (3 days).
Critical Illness. You can take out a critical illness plan for you and your partner.
Childcare Vouchers. Save on tax and National Insurance and reduce the cost of your childcare.
Cycle to Work Scheme. Get a new bike for a significantly reduced cost by saving on tax and National Insurance (and paying for it monthly through your salary).
Benefit Car. Get a brand new car, enjoy hassle free motoring (MOTs, servicing and insurance are all included), and pay for it over 24, 36 or 48 months. You also save on tax and National Insurance.
Dental Treatment. You can take out dental cover to pays towards the cost of routine treatment and preventative dental care for you and your family.
Pension Flex. You can reduce the amount AXA pay into your pension and either take the cash or put it towards another benefit. Or you may choose to top your pension up and pay for it via salary sacrifice, which will save you on both tax and National Insurance.
Discounts on AXA products and services: We'll give you generous discounts on AXA products and services, some of which are available to your family.
External discounts - making your money go further: Our My External Discounts site helps to make your money go further by giving you a huge range of discounts and savings at over 1,100 national and local retailers. Discounts are available through online cost savings, top-up cards and cashback through online purchases.
Health and wellbeing - AXA supports you when things don’t go to plan: Your health and wellbeing mean everything to us. That's why we have a number of schemes and benefits in place to support you physically and mentally. As well as free eye sight tests, there's:
